MOONLIGHT SERENADE (Unreleased CD)

Currently the most popular program of the Ensemble. The recording has not been published. The original pieces were written for a big band and rearranged by Valery Kiselyov for a sextet. Many of those hits, like LITTLE BROWN JAG and STRING OF PEARLS, have become real anthems of the "Golden Age of Swing".

VALERY KISELYOV 'SEVEN BLISSFUL MOMENTS IN AUGUST'

VALERY KISELYOV "SEVEN BLISSFUL MOMENTS IN AUGUST"

Recorded at the VIII "Jazz at Hermitage Garden" festival in Moscow, on the 20th of August 2005. "More than four thousand people gathered in this attractive park in the heart of the city, many of them came in order to hear the ensemble of Valery Kiselyov. In my opinion, the performance of the Classic Jazz Ensemble of Valery Kiselyov was one of the most prominent of the festival".

VSEVOLOD DANILOCHKIN, VALERY KISELYOV 'JAZZ FROM TIMES WHEN WE WERE YOUNG'

VSEVOLOD DANILOCHKIN, VALERY KISELYOV "JAZZ FROM TIMES WHEN WE WERE YOUNG"

"Every tune here has its own history. Vsevolod Danilochkin didn't just memorize the tunes, he has literally learned them by heart. His experience of directing the Decima and Hot Nine bands is unique; now that he doesn't have an orchestra, he used the PC to create fresh arrangements. Fortunately enough, the electronic "voices" were complemented by a "living" one. Saxophonist and clarinetist Valery Kiselyov agreed to play this role".

VALERY KISELYOV, EVGENY PECHNIKOV 'ECHOES OF HARLEM'

VALERY KISELYOV, EVGENY PECHNIKOV "ECHOES OF HARLEM"

"The CD was recorded by the two musicians to mark a Duke Ellington centennial in 1999. It contains some pieces by Duke that are not so commonplace, initially written for his own instrument - the big band. Interpreting them with a piano and reed instruments is a whole new vision of Ellington's music. Brilliant command of clarinet and saxophone and a respect for the traditions of the 30s result in impressive quality".
